‘Kunguma Laksharchana’ at Parrys temple

The ‘Kunguma Laksharchana’ Festival will begin on Thursday at the Sri Kalikambal Temple on Thambu Chetty Street. The nine day festival will end on the 19th of April.
The Goddess will be decorated and special poojas will be conducted during the mornings and evenings of the 9 days. The Festival has been conducted with the guidance of Subramani along with the help of Moorthy, Panchaksharam, Jagdeesan and Venugopal.
An official release said that devotees pay Rs. 350 and money for the Kungumam will be used in their name. They will also receive a CD of Amman songs and a silver pendant.
