Thematic parks to attract many visitors in Chennai

Don’t be surprised if you come across dog parks, mathematics parks, science and technology parks, creativity parks etc in the Chennai city.

To attract many visitors to the green spaces, Chennai Corporation would be involved in the development of parks in several places in Chennai with an emphasis on a particular theme. 

Mathematics is a very important subject for the students and many students find it tough is well known. It is said that parks with the theme of mathematics would be developed and it would be complete with equipment and artwork. By this, the students would be able to understand mathematics much better.

An official later expressed his views on this thematic parks and said dog park in Hyderabad was studied by his department. He added that more information would be collected from the dog parks present in countries like Japan etc. He hinted that a place would be identified so that a dog park would be developed in Chennai.

It is known that yoga is very important in our lives and soon a yoga park would be developed in Chennai. Several yoga postures would be explained by means of artwork.

Information is a park on science and technology-based themes like AI and robotics would also be developed. Budding writers would be benefited by a park on creativity. It has been pointed out by the civic officials that vacant lands in 15 zones would be identified for the development of parks with themes.

To showcase the importance of food plants, the corporation should develop a park and this was as per Jayshree Venkatesan of Care Earth. She was of the view that park specifically designed for the senior citizens would be superb.

It is worthy to note that the concept of thematic parks has been announced at various points in the last decade but lack of sustained maintenance has been an issue. This was confirmed by Shobha Menon of Nizhal. She then spoke about how the parks should have native biodiversity that could serve as a living library of nature. She wanted the parks to refresh and rejuvenate both kids as well as adults.
