Further extension of deadline: PAN-Aadhar Link

An order from the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) of Ministry of Finance informs that the last date to link the Permanent Account Number (PAN) and the Aadhar card for filing of income tax returns has been extended to December 31st, 2019.
It may be noted that the earlier deadline to link PAN-Aadhar was 30th September.
The CBDT had earlier made it mandatory to link 12-digit Aadhar number with the 10-digit PAN card in order to file income tax returns. The agency had also issued a deadline for the PAN-Aadhar linking i.e., 30th September. The last date has now been extended to December 31.
