Invitations have been extended to the prospective students who wish to join the 2-year Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Trade Certificate Course in the ITI recently inaugurated on 28th September at Chennai, Perumbakkam.
There are 24000 residences in the Housing Complex of the Tamil Nadu State Government Slum Clearance Board in Chennai Perumbakkam. Giving due consideration to this, schools and government arts colleges have been inaugurated here.
As a further step, the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E. Palaniswamy had ordered that a new Industrial Training Institute (ITI) is to be inaugurated at Chennai Perumbakkam. In this situation, the government ITI was inaugurated on 28th September at the Social Welfare Community Hall located next to the Perumbakkam Government Arts College.
The 2-year integrated Trade Certificate Industrial Training Institute (ITI) course on 5 different trades - Repair and servicing of 2-wheelers and 3-wheelers, welding, hospital house-keeping, repair/service of refrigerators, and Printing.
There are 172 seats available. The students (boys and girls) who have completed 10th Standard can join. Free training, bus-travel pass concession, cycle, monthly financial assistance of Rs. 500, Laptop computer, Text Books, 2 sets of uniforms, and free drafting implements would be given to the students who join.
Presently, admissions are in progress.
