Modi-Xi Meet: 4-wheelers entry banned from today (9th October morning)

The entry of 4-wheelers is banned from today (Wednesday, 9th October) morning.
This is for reasons of security due to the occasion of the 2-days meeting/discussions between the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and China President Xi Jin Ping on 12th and 13th October.
As 4-wheelers were banned from entry, the public has to walk via the East Coast Road Mamallpuram entry gate to reach the city of Mamallapuram.
Because of the above security reasons, the city buses also are not allowed to enter the Mamallapuram bus stand.
The Mamallapuram bus stand, for the time being, has been shifted to East Coast Road. Arrangements have been made for the buses to stop at the location Poonchery on the East Coast Road leading to Kalpakkam.
Further, the police have undertaken the strict routine of a thorough check of all the vehicles entering the city of Mamallapuram and then only permit them inside.
