Low cost airline Air Asia will start operations from India soon. Registration for flight attendants starting on Saturday morning at Chennai. The registration was attended by aspirants from all over the country. The operation of the flights is expected to start in September this year and will start with around one hundred cabin crew.
According to Suhaila Hassan, Group Head Flight Attendant of Air Asia in Malaysia, ‘AirAsia plans to start its low cost airline out of India by September with two aircraft, for which it started hiring cabin crew this morning… The registration started just before 9 a.m. with candidates from all over India arriving from at around 7.30 a.m… To begin with, the airline plans to hire around 100 cabin crew. (We) got over 700 candidates and expects around 5,000 people before 3 p.m.’
