Deepavali holidays

Only recently, the state government department of school education released an order indicating that Saturday, 26th October, the day before the Deepavali festival on Sunday, 27th October is also a holiday.
As Deepavali is celebrated over a period of 3 days as a tradition, Hence, the Tamil Nadu State Government department of School Education has indicated that Monday, 28th October, the next day after Deepavali can also be declared as a local holiday after due application from the school to the District Primary Education Officers.
The schools declaring holiday on Monday, 28th October, can work on some other Saturday instead to compensate for the same!
