Who would have thought that one day schools in Chennai would turn to electronic gadgets for learning? This has happened now in Chennai schools.

It is brought out that the students belonging to Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan Senior Secondary School or PSBBSSS would be doing a test on their mobile phones on Thursday, 17th October 201i9.

In the past, the school has banned the use of electronic gadgets on the campus and now the school has sent a circular to the parents of class 8 asking the students to bring 3G/4G enabled mobile phones to the school for taking an assigned 1-hour test. Invigilation would be done by the teacher.

Deputy Dean and director of this PSBB Senior Secondary School, Sheela Rajendran explained how this is a geography test that would be conducted by an external agency. The agency has asked for cell phones to conduct the test. She then shed light on how regularising such practice on the campus was not thought till now.

It was later pointed out by a senior teacher of the school that it was a good way to make the students get familiar with the practice of using mobile phones. She then explained about how everything has become online now and how there is a need to implement mobile phones. Finally, she spoke about how the students would be comfortable using devices in the future.

Kids Central High International School or KC High is a famous school and the students from class 6 are allowed to bring their laptops and tablets to the schools. As per the deputy head of this school, Sindu Suneel, it is clear that electronic gadgets are the future. It is important to note here that the class 6 examinations are conducted on paper but the assignments are done online utilizing e-learning tools like Google classroom etc.

Some superb advantages of technology are time-saving and improvement in the efficiency of the students. This was also confirmed by Sindhu Suneel. In the past, the students were forced to go to their classmate`s house for completing the projects but now they could collaborate, finish their projects and assignments online.
