Chennai District Collector: Special camps to be organized for loans for Minority Communities

A recent notification issued by the Chennai District collector mentions:
‘Loans are being distributed every year by the State Government of Tamil Nadu to the citizens belonging to the backward communities, Most Backward Communities (MBC), etc., with the primary objective of improving their living standards through the Tamil Nadu Backward Classes Economic Development Corporation.
Accordingly, a target of Rs. 1 Crore has been set for the Chennai District for the year 2019-20 by TNBCEDCO and this amount will be distributed as various loans. In a similar operation, the Tamil Nadu Minority Economic Development Corporation (TAMCO) organizes the distribution of various loans to the Minority Communities every year. The target for the year 2019-20 is set as Rs. 3 Crores.
The family annual income must not exceed Rs. 3 Lakhs and the beneficiaries must be in the age group 18-60. These loans will be given to only 1 member per family!
In order to avail of small/micro industry loans or education loans, the family annual income must not exceed Rs. 1.20 Lakhs.
Special camps are being organized to avail these loans in the Chennai District at the following venues:

- Ayanavaram - 30th October
- Sholinganallur - 1st November
- Amaindhakarai - 6th November
- Guindy - 8th November
- Perambur - 13th November
- Ambattur - 15th November
- Madhavaram - 20th November
- Madhuravoil - 22nd November
- Mambalam - 4th December
- Tondiarpet - 6th December
- Alandur - 11th November
- Thiruvotriyur - 13th November
- Egmore - 18th November
- Velachery - 20th November
So, the residents of Chennai district belonging to the backward community, most backward communities, ‘sermarabinar’, and minority communities (Christians, Muslims, Sikhs, Buddhists. Parsis, and Jains) are advised to participate in the above special camps, get the applications, fill the same, and submit with all required documents/certificates.
While applying for Education Loan, copies of the School Transfer Certificate, Truth Certificate, the receipt for the school fees paid, and the mark-sheet certificate will all have to be attached.
