Meteorological Centre: A new low-pressure zone to form near the Andaman Islands

The Meteorological Centre has informed that a new low-pressure zone is forming near the Andaman Islands on 4th November and this may intensify to become a depression zone. Further, the meteorological cenre has warned the fishermen not to venture into the Andaman Sea.

The strong cyclone ‘Maha’ formed over the Arabian Sea is very likely to intensify into a very severe cyclone, the meteorological centre has warned the fishermen not to venture into the sea.

It may be noted that the cyclone ‘kiyar’ had already formed over the Arabian Sea. And now there is news about new cyclone ‘Maha’!

In this regard, the Chennai Meteorological Centre Director Balachandran shared that the cyclone Maha is located 320 km northwest of Thiruvananthapuram.

He informed that there are prospects of heavy rain due to this cyclone in 14 districts in Tamil Nadu including Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli, and Thoothukudi.

He warned that the fishermen in the Kerala, Karnataka and Lakhdiv must not venture into the sea.
