Chief Minister lays the foundation stone for Tambaram-Vandalur Rail overbridge

Tambaram has expanded as a suburban center of the Chennai Metro City. A railway overbridge is to be built between Tambaram and Vandalur. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E. Palaniswamy laid the foundation stone for this on Friday (1st November). The foundation stoned for the new overbridge was done through a video conference.
The state government of Tamil Nadu released a press notification today (Saturday, 2nd November) regarding this:
‘New bridges are being built along with high-quality roads throughout the state of Tamil Nadu realizing the necessity to improve the infrastructure facilities to ensure the state’s social and economic growth. These projects have been taken up and executed with great enthusiasm and dedication.
In this regard, a Railway Overbridge is scheduled to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 206.88 Crores between the Railway Stations of Tambaram (Kanchipuram district) and Vandalur. The foundation stone for the project was laid by the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E. Palaniswamy.
