100 special new buses with ultra-modern facilities to be manufactured: TNSTC

The trend of replacing the old buses in operation with the new buses procured is being implemented by all the Transport Corporations. In continuation of this initiative, the State Express Transport Corporation (SETC) has planned to manufacture 100 special new buses with ultra-modern facilities at a cost of Rs. 19.50 Crores. So, the number of new buses in operation will increase!
Features of the special new ultra-modern buses
- The floor and the roof (ceiling) of the buses will be wider.
- Ultra-modern deluxe video-coach and push-back seats.
- Thicker glass shields fitted in the front and back of the bus.
- Emergency exit arrangement and racks to keep luggage.
- A ticket-box for the conductor, fire-fighting equipment, seat number-plates.
- Wider entrance steps! The entrance located at the front part of the bus.
- Mobile phone chargers and SET Route Boards.
