It is now said that by using the Chennai city corporation`s parking app people would be able to find a parking spot in Chennai city’s main localities. The important point is by using this app it would be possible to know whether space is available or not for parking.
Soon, people would get benefited from GCC mobile app-based parking as ‘GCC Smart Parking’ would be out anytime. A corporation official revealed that a final financial audit has been going on now and after the completion of this audit this mobile parking app of GCC would be launched for the people.
The superb information is once this parking app gets launched then there would be as many as 4000 car parking spots or equivalent car space (ECS) in Chennai city. It must be noted that GCC has joined hands with Toorq Media for this mobile parking app.
Information collected is there would be 2 mobile app one for the attendee at the parking spaces and the other one for the people. It is said that initially only an attendee app would be made live. There would be high-end IP cameras monitoring the ECS and live information regarding the number of ECS and which ECS is in the particular location is available would be relayed live. It is important to note that after reaching the spot the attendee would guide the people to the slot available and take a photograph of the vehicle`s license plate through the app.
By SMS, payment notice is sent to the people and parking fees could be made either through cash or through other payment modes. Later, the information is tallied with the feed relayed by IP cameras present in the parking facility. On the first floor of Amma Maligai behind Ripon, Buildings would be the control room present and all the data would be monitored from here.
The users would be able to see the locations in Chennai city having parking lots plus the number of slots available once the customer app becomes live. A GPS based navigation guide would play its role in displaying the exact co-ordinates of the parking spot. It must be taken into account that when the user is not near the parking facility then they would not be able to book slots but just block the slots.
