Want to taste yummy Hungarian street foods like chimney cakes, langos etc, then Besant Nagar is the right place for you.
Recently, Kurtosssh launched its second outlet in Besant Nagar. It is well known that Kurtosssh is a franchise that serves Hungarian street food.
Chimney cone delicacies, langos and goulash are some of the popular Hungarian street food types and these are available in this outlet in Besant Nagar. It must be noted that this food joint was packed with customers. At the entrance of this food joint, the guests took some photographs and canopy of balloons at the entrance grabbed many eyeballs. The kids were busy running from one place to other.
It was later revealed by Karishma Nagare, co-founder of Kurtosssh, that research team was sent to Hungary to learn the methods of preparing traditional dishes from the homemakers and household kitchens. She mentioned that chimney cakes were made using secret ingredients. It must be noted that the mixture is shipped out to her franchises and 50 % of flour is added to make the dough. In the next step, dough is rolled and cut into strips which are wrapped around a conical mould and baked for a time of 20 minutes.
The chef and operations manager at Kurtosssh, Mr. Anil Kumar Pothru, explained about how experimentation is being done with the fillings now. He spoke about how Mexican potato and Italian chicken cones were the fastest-selling vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Information collected is makhani and tandoori fillings would also be introduced soon. It is important to mention that as soon as the Mexican potato chimney cone is consumed the person could feel the spicy flavours in it.
Point to be noted is before the potato chunks get fried and drizzled with spicy Mexican sauce they are first soaked in saltwater. This would make the mouth to water and tongue to burn. The capsicum and onion cubes in the sauce add to the heat. It must be noted that the cone is decorated with garlic and oregano and the cone in which Italian chicken is served is coated with chilli flakes and oregano.
