Regarding the oddity that the tea served in the evening being costlier than the tea served in the morning, a Railway Official shared:
The reason for the higher prices for the tea served in the evenings is that it includes biscuits, nuts, snacks, and sweets. Hence, it is justified. We strive to improve the quality of the food served in the Railways. The last price revision was carried out in the year 2014! Thus, the price increase is being proposed after a long gap of 5 years!’
