A new regulation procedure has been introduced as a security feature - the police have started taking photos of the visitors to important premises such as the Reserve Bank of India, Commissioner’s office, etc., before allowing them to enter.

This regulation has been implemented from yesterday (Monday, 25th November).

More than 1000 visitors visit the Chief Secretariat every day to meet the officials of the various state government ministries. The police check these visitors at the main entrance asking for details as to who they are meeting, residential address, cell phone number, etc. and then allow them in.

However, this procedure has been changed from yesterday (Monday, 25th November), According to the new regulation, the police take the photo of the visitors on the cell phone and then get the details of Aadhar card, residential address, cell phone number, etc., and a chit is given as a receipt. Only those with this chit are allowed inside the Chief Secretariat.

A higher official in the Department of Security in the Chief Secretariat shared regarding this:

‘There is a large number of visitors daily to the Chief Secretariat to meet the ministers and officials. The personal details of these visitors are being taken mainly for security purposes. This would help prevent certain misdeeds and maloperations carried out under the names of the ministers or officials.’
