Passengers from Tambaram to Kancheepuram can go in a/c buses

Travelling in comfort is very important for bus passengers!!
The news that has come out is the State Transport Corporation-Villupuram has introduced air-conditioned or a/c buses from Tambaram to Kancheepuram. It is now said that the bus commuters could travel in comfort in these a/c buses.
Several years back, MTC or Metropolitan Transport Corporation operated Volvo a/c bus services from Tambaram to Kancheepuram is known. The point here is the minimum fare for travel would be Rs 30 and the maximum fare would be Rs 75 for the newly launched air-conditioned buses. This is exactly the same fare that was collected by the MTC years back for the travel in the Volvo a/c buses.
The Tambaram- Kancheepuram route via Oragadam is good revenue earning section due to the presence of Oragadam industrial park and many Kancheepuram residents go to work in Chennai. Deluxe bus services have been operated in this section is known.
The officials are hoping that the new air-conditioned buses would receive a good response from the public. A week back, bus route number 55 was introduced with 2 services. This was as per a senior official of STC-Villupuram. The official later spoke about how a/c buses are operated every 1 hour from Kancheepuram and Tambaram and vice-versa.
