Anything new always attracts the attention of many!! This has been proved true now in Chennai.
It is sensational to note that in the month of November 25000 odd people have made use of metro cab services for their last-mile connectivity.
It is known that these metro cab services were newly introduced in Chennai. Information got is in November nearly 64,000 commuters used the services of share auto, share taxi and cab services.
As per a release, it is clear that ever since the services began in the month of August in 8 metro stations in Chennai as many as 6.5 lakh commuters have used the feeder services.
On the designated feeder routes from 7 select stations at a flat rate of Rs 10, the share auto feeder services have been running is known. Likewise from 5 selected metro stations, share taxi feeder services operate in Chennai.
It is revealed that share auto services continue to be popular with the commuters when compared to share taxi services and as many as 35,294 commuters have used this in November for their last-mile connectivity. The share taxis were used by 3960 commuters and it was brought out that when compared to September month fewer commuters opted this mode of transport in November.
