In a joyous turnout for the Chennai film-buffs, the 17th International Film Festival has commenced in the Chennai Metro City! The schedule of theatres-films details has also been released.
This 17th International Film Festival organized in Chennai Metro City is on behalf of ‘Indo Cine Association Foundation’.
The festival is set to conclude on 19th December.
130 movies from 55 countries are being screened.
On the Tamil films category, 12 movies Otha Seruppu, Adutha Saattai, Asuran, Bakrid, Houseowner, Jeevi, Kana, Seethakkathi, Mei, Pizhai, Sillukkaruppatti, and Thozhar Venkatesan are being screened.
The first films to be screened were Palme T R and The Parasite. Films from the countries Germany, Hungary, Thailand, Australia, Iran, and Taiwan will be screened during this film festival. Many films which won international appreciation are set to be screened.
The movie The Bra’ made in the country Azarbaijan, ‘The Stray’ made in New Zealand and other movies are to be screened for the 1st ever time!
Films made in languages Kasi, Assamese, Gujarathi and the movie ‘Netaji’, produced in the language of the Irulas community will all be screened in the festival.
It has been announced that it would be worthwhile visiting the theatres directly, obtain the list of films screened and buy the tickets accordingly!
