In the month of margazhi, that is from December to January, this temple in Srirangam celebrates annual Vaikunta Ekadesi.

Important information collected is the festival is celebrated for a time of 21 days in the pattern of Pagal pathu (day time celebrations for 10 days) and raa pathu (night time celebrations for 10 days).

Around 3:45 am in the morning on Monday, 6th January (first day of raa pathu), Namperumal was taken out in a procession from sanctum sanctorum. The procession passed through Rajamahendiran thirusuttru, Naazhikettan gateway and Vrajanadhi mandapam. Later, the procession passed through the paramapatha vassal or sorga vassal by 4:45 am.  Many devotees who patiently waited for the darshan in thousand pillar mandapam were delighted to see Namperumal before them.
