Public toilets for ladies to come up in 220 locations in Chennai Metro City!

In another 3 months, modernization of public toilets would take place in as many as 220 locations in Chennai city.
This would be highly beneficial to women and children. There would be breastfeeding rooms present at these public toilets. On Friday, 10th January, Chennai Corporation commissioner, Mr G. Prakash inaugurated a modern toilet complex in T. Nagar near Panagal Park. Funds from CSR would be utilized for the purpose of modernization of the public toilets in Chennai city.
People would be able to use these modernized toilets without paying any money and atleast 4 employees would be keeping the toilets neat and clean.
Mr Prakash later mentioned how every year Rs 9 lakhs would be needed to maintain the public toilet at Panagal Park in T. Nagar. Information is the toilet has been renovated using CSR funding from Star Health Insurance. After the completion of the first phase of toilet renovation, many commercial places would get better toilet facilities. It is now revealed that all 853 community toilet complexes with 6641 seats would be renovated.
Across two shifts per day, companies and banks would engage staffs at these public toilets and per shift, a worker would clean and maintain 10 toilet seats.
