Results for 26 District administration Presidents announced (except Sivagangai) - AIADMK-14, DMK-12

After the recently conducted local elections in 2 Phases, the winners in the Panchayat posts assumed office on 6th January. Subsequently, the elections for the 5 posts of District administration President, Vice-president, Union president, vice-president, and local administration vice-presidents are being conducted today (Saturday, 11th January).
The indirect election is being conducted to select 27 district administration presidents and vice-presidents, 314 Administration union presidents and vice-presidents, and 9624 Village administration vice-presidents.
The election for the district president and union presidents conducted at 11 AM today and the election of district union the vice-president is to be conducted at 3.30 PM today.
The winners are:
District administration president : 27 - AIADMK - 14, DMK - 12
The District Collector of Sivagangai District has issued a cancellation order for the election of Thiubhuvanam administration union president and vice-president. Citing the reasons of Law & Order problems, this election has been postponed without any definite date.
