TRAI reduces the monthly payment rate for paid channels from Rs. 19 to Rs. 12

The Telecomm Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has announced the reduction of the maximum monthly payment rate for the paid channels from Rs. 19 to Rs. 12.
This action has been taken due to the complaints received from the users as the rise was from just Rs. 5 to Rs. 19, quite steep!
TRAI has announced that no channel can charge more than Rs. 12 as the monthly payment.
