Around 65,000 to 70,000 ardent devotees visit the world-famous Lord Venkatachalapathy temple in Tirupathi. On the special important days of Brahmotsavam, Rathasapthami, Vaikunta Ekadasi, etc, a larger crowd of devotees gather as a tradition.
This has led to a rather a difficult situation where the lodging facilities to accommodate the large gathering of devotees is not available!
Exploiting this rather an unfortunate situation, some anti-social elements and criminals advertise smartly that they organise the trip, lodging, transport, Laddu prasadam, etc.!
A large number of devotees fall prey to this spook advertisement and lose their money in the process!
The Thirumalai-Tirupathi Devasthanam (TTD) has received a large number of complaints on this issue! Subsequently, TTD monitoring squads have identified a few fake websites and informed about the same to the Thirumalai police.
The Police have taken action on 19 such fake websites and conducting enquiries.
In this scenario, TTD has warned the eager devotees not to trust the fake websites and get cheated!
