A notification released by CMWSSB (Chennai Metro Water Supply and Sewerage Board) yesterday (Thursday, 5th February) mentions:
An ‘Open-house’ grievance address meeting is being conducted on behalf of CMWSSB every 2nd Saturday of each month. The open-house grievance address meeting for this month of February is scheduled to be conducted in all the CMWSSB offices tomorrow (Saturday, 8th February) from 10.00 AM to 1.00 PM.
The consumers/customers can participate in this open-house grievance address meeting and submit their complaints/grievances regarding drinking water or sewage water, the fees to be paid for both, and doubts regarding new connections by submitting petitions and get problems addressed/rectified.
Further, the details regarding rainwater harvesting can also be obtained in this meeting.
The meetings in each regional office will be under the leadership of the Superintending Engineer.
During the last month’s (January) open-house grievance address meeting, 25 petitions were received regarding drinking water/drain water and action has been taken on 19 petitions and completed. Activities are under progress on the balance 6 petitions.
