Ace music composer A.R. Rahman or ARR would join hands with some international composers and launch an anthem for ‘Hands Around the World’ project on the issues like global warming and climate change etc.
It must be taken into account that the song would be launched as a part of the project aimed at raising awareness on climate change in a few months. Music composer ARR is pitching in for the initiative of humanitarian Ken Kragen.
On Monday, 10th February 2020, ‘Water Matters’ exhibition was opened at Periyar Science and Technology Centre. It was brought out that every person must have access to tap water irrespective of their economic background. Youngsters must bring about change.
Mr Rahman spoke about the importance of water and said clean water must be the goal. It is known that ARR is the UN Ambassador for the 2015 Millennium Development Goals also spoke at the inauguration of an exhibition organised by US Consulate General in co-operation with the Smithsonian Institution Travelling Exhibition Service and Care Earth Trust. Till 29th February the exhibition would be there and it would have many surprises for the visitors.
The exhibition would have different methods used t draw groundwater and 5 Kudam Vandi (a wheeled trolley with 5 pots to carry water). It is a part of the bridal trousseau the district of Ramanathapuram.
A new desalination plant would be making its presence felt in Nemmeli and this was revealed by Mr K.P. Anbalagan, minister for higher education. He spoke about how everyone has got the responsibility to protect water bodies.
