Cardiac museum launched

The Maurice Lev and Saroja Bharati Museum and International Centre of Excellence in Cardiac Pathology was launched recently by Frontier Lifeline Hospitals and Frontier Mediville.

The museum has over 7000 specimens of human hearts in different diseased states. It also has around 10000 histopathology slides. Hands on workshops and other learning methods will be used at the museum to further the knowledge of cardiac disease and its study.

Dr. Saroja Bharathi of RUSH University in Chicago headed a discussion on Cardiac Anatomy and Cardiac Pathology after the launch. The museum was inaugurated by Tamil Nadu Governor Dr. K. Rosaiah. Chairman and CEO of Frontier Lifeline Hospital K.M. Cherian, Dr. Saroja Bharathi and the collector of Tiruvallur district K. Veera Raghava Rao were also present.
