The fourth and fifth batches of the B.Ed. in Special Education (Visual Impairment) of the National Institute of Visual Health (NIVH) graduated on Saturday. Degrees were conferred upon 20 men and 18 women.
Headquartered in Dehradun, the NIVH is an autonomous body that works under the Department of Disability Affairs of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. The course is affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University and approved by the Rehabilitation Council of India in New Delhi.
The Vice Chairman of the Commonwealth Science and Technology Academy for Research, former vice-chancellor of Anna University Dr A Kalanidhi and Director of NIVH-Dehradun, Anuradha Dalmia were present at the graduation.
