With the intense global spreading of the coronavirus, people have panic! Further, the government has also been advising against public gathering in places.
The Indian government also has initiated various coronavirus prevention measures and has been cautioning the public regarding the precautionary measures to be taken.
As a part of this, all the states have undertaken activities to prevent the public from gathering at tourist spots and public places.
As a part of this, the state government of Gujarat has banned the tourists from visiting the Statue of Unity: Sardar Vallabhai Patel located on the banks of the Narmada River.
In a notification, the Gujarat State Tourism Department has mentioned:
‘So far, no single person has been identified with coronavirus in this state. Despite this, as a part of the precautionary activities, visitors are banned temporarily from the tourist spot of the Statue of Unity until 25th March. However, those who had done online booking earlier will be allowed to visit this place.
It is worth noting here that 152 persons have been affected with coronavirus so far in this country.
