Heeding PM advice: Koyambedu wholesale vegetable market to close on 22nd March!

Taking the appeal of the Prime Minister on the concept of public curfew, the All traders Association has announced that the Chennai Koyambedu wholesale vegetable, fruit, and flower market will close on day-after-tomorrow (Sunday, 22nd March).

Coronavirus first entered the city of Wuhan in China last December and since the last 3 months; coronavirus has spread globally affecting more than 120 countries.

Coronavirus has so far taken more than 9000 lives globally. Over 2 Lakhs people have been affected!

The superpowers of the world, including America, have been unable to prevent the coronavirus attacks and the subsequent loss of lives!

The status is that the cure for this coronavirus is yet to be found!

Though America and Germany have claimed they have found the medicine/cure, they have not released the same so far.

In this scenario, one of the world’s most populated country India has also been affected since last month. Starting with sporadic 1 or 2 cases, it has now affected thousands of people. Over 5000 persons with coronavirus symptoms have been kept under monitoring.

The number of patients confirmed with coronavirus has crossed 175! So far, 4 lives have been lost.

As there is a risk of the coronavirus spreading faster, the central and state governments have been taking various precautionary measures on this front!

In this situation, the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, addressed the people yesterday (Thursday, 19th March) night. He declared a ‘public curfew’ on Sunday (22nd March) from 7.00 AM to 9.00 PM, the public must not venture out of their houses.

Further, the Prime Minister appealed to the public to extend whole-hearted cooperation on these virus-prevention actions.

As such, heeding to the Prime Minster’s suggestion, the Chennai Metro City Koyambedu whole market for vegetables, fruits, and flowers, will be closed on Sunday as per the announcement released by the All Traders’ Association.
