State Government review meeting on coronavirus situation

A review meeting regarding the coronavirus prevention activities was conducted yesterday (Thursday, 19th March), the Deputy Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam. Other ministers, Chief Secretary Shanmugam, DGP Tripathi and other government higher officials participated in the meeting.

At the end of the meeting, the Chief Minister has ordered that all the supermarkets, large textile and Jewellery Shops, and weekly Fairs (Sandhai) should be closed until 31st March.

It has also been ordered to set up coronavirus special wards in all hospitals!

Coronavirus prevention must be implemented earnestly in Information Technology Firns, mini-small-micro-medium and large industries. Especially, the food stalls in these organisations must be maintained perfect clean. The number of employees on duty must be brought down and they may be allowed to work from home!

Grocery shops selling essential items, departmental stores, vegetable/fruit shops, pharmacies, and food shops will function as usual!
