With the recent ‘lock-down’ announced by the central government, There are very strong prospects of confusions in the functioning.

Coronavirus has been spreading rapidly in India. So far, 360 persons have been affected in the country!

As such, ‘war-footing’ activities have been initiated by both the central and state governments to prevent coronavirus spread.

75 districts throughout India have been imposed with ‘lockout’ by the central government. Lock-down has been declared for 10 districts in Kerala and 12 districts in Maharashtra states!

In Tamil Nadu state, 3 districts – Chennai. Kanchipuram, Erode are under the lock-down order, These 3 districts have been selected based on the areas affected by coronavirus. Buses cannot operate from these districts to other places! Public vehicles, autos, and taxis would not go these districts.

As 1 person has been affected by coronavirus here, Erpde has been included in the lock-down! His relatives are kept under house-monitoring.

The1st person to be affected by coronavirus is from Kanchipuram district. Though he has been cured completely, lock-down has been imposed in this district as w3ell.

As 6 persons are being treated in Chennai for coronavirus, it has also been included in the lock-down list.

Prospects of confusion

In this situation, some confusions have arisen.

If Chennai is under lock-down, vehicles cannot operate from Chennai to Chingleput. Autos and taxis cannot be operated to Chingleput from Chennai. This will lead to intense confusions! It may be noted that the district of Chingleput was created only very recently.

Chinglput comprises of the main areas of Tambaram, Pallavaram, Chromepet, Keezhkattalai, St. Thomas Mount, Pammal, Maraimalainagar, Kattankulathur, and Acharapakkam. There are several Information Technology Industries located here!

IN this scenario, with the lock-down announced in Chennai, it has not been announced in Chingleput! So, a great confusion has arisen as to how citizens residing in Chennai and working in the IT industry mentioned above in Chingleput district can travel to work! Great confusion prevails in Chennai.

As per the announcement by the central government, the lock-down’ has to be implemented today (Monday, 23rd March). However, reliable circles inform that a decision on lock-down in Chennai District will be taken only after detailed review and discussions.
