The state government of Tamil Nadu has issued a notification that all students in Tamil Nadu studying from 1st Standard to 9th Standard will pass even without writing their annual examinations!

As a stringent preventive measure against the coronavirus spreading, all the schools and colleges throughout the country have been closed.

In Tamil Nadu, the Public Examinations for 12th Standard (+2) have just been completed. The Public Examinations for the 10th & 11th Standards have been postponed halfway.

As the present serious and virus-threatening situation persists, the annual examinations for the other classes apart from the above could not be conducted as such. So, the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E. Palaniswamy has announced that all students studying from 1st to 9th Standards are deemed to have passed.

It is well worth noting here that similar announcements have been released in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, and Puducherry.

12th Standard

With the 12th Standard (+2) public Examinations having concluded yesterday (Tuesday, 24th March), thousands of students could not write the final examination due to the coronavirus pandemic! Hence, the state government department of school education has announced that re-examination will be conducted for the candidates who failed to attend the last examination conducted yesterday!
