Lockdown has been imposed for 21 days throughout the country as an inevitable measure against the spreading of the raging coronavirus pandemic. All industries, academic institutions are closed. So, the normal day-to-day routine life of the public has been entirely disturbed!
In the above situation, the state government of Tamil Nadu has requested all house owners not to collect the rent for the month of March especially employees belonging to other states and the students. In case this is violated and if reports are received regarding insistence on payment of house rent, stringent action will be taken!
So far, 74 persons have been affected by a coronavirus in Tamil Nadu. With the lockdown situation, with their industries and offices being closed and with them rendered without any income, Keeping this utmost difficult situation in due consideration, the details of the order released by the state government of Tamil Nadu:
It has been ordered today (Tuesday, 31st March) that house owners not to insist on monthly house rent for the month of March especially from employees belonging to other states. In case this order is violated or if it is known that the monthly rent for March is demanded and any insistence to vacate the residence is given by the erring house owners, stringent legal action will be taken by the state government.
Further, on the employers’ side, it must be ensured that no deductions are made and the full sue salary amount is paid!
