After conducting a detailed review meeting with the various semior officials from the concerned state government departments on 30th March regarding the preventive activities undertaken against the raging coronavirus pandemic, I conducted a meeting again today (Tuesday, 31st March) and after this meeting, I am releasing the following orders:
1. Agricultural loans taken through cooperative societies/banks: A time extension of 3 months is given for paying the due EMIs.
2. Home-loan Cooperative Societies/Associations: A time extensions of 3 months is given for the payment of EMIs.
3. Tamil Nadu Housing Development Board: A time extension of 3 months is given to pay the EMIs (up to 30th June, 2020)
4. All Fisheries Cooperative Associations and Handloom Cooperative Associations: A time extension of 3 months is given to pay the EMIs.
5. Tamil Nadu Industrial Investment Corporation: The mini/micro/medium scale industries which have availed loans are given a time extension of 3 months (up to 30th June) to pay the EMIs.
6. A new plan, known as ‘COVID Relief and Development Plan’, of financial worth of around Rs. 200 Crores has been set up. The 2000 mini/micro/small/medium scale industries which have availed loans through this plan will be given financial assistance in case of emergency investment requirements.
7. SIPCOT: The industries which have availed loan through SIPCOT are given an extension of 3 months to pay the EMIs.
8. The industries which are operating in the SIPCOT Industrial Park are given an extension time of 3 months to pay the due maintenance charges.
9. As per the Motor Vehicles Act, a time extension of 3 months is given for the renewal of all related documents – Driving Licence, FC, etc.
10. The certificates and other related documents to be renewed as per Weights and Measurements Act and Tamil Nadu Shops and Establishments Act, And Dangerous & Offence Act are given an extension time of 3 months for renewal.
11. Local Administrations: An extension time of 3 months is given to the citizens for the payment of property Tax, Drinking Water charges until 30th June.
12. In the present situation, the tenants who stay in rented residence have brought to the notice of the state government on the hardships encountered by them for payment of rent. So, I earnest request the house-owners to collect the rent for March and April 2 months later please!
