Lockdown is in force throughout the country as a preventive action against the spreading of the raging coronavirus pandemic.
Accordingly, it had been announced earlier that the banks will function only between 10.00 AM and 2.00 PM.
In this situation, it has now been announced that the banks will resume normal operations from tomorrow (Wednesday, 2nd April).
Bank officials shared in this regard:
‘The Banks had advised their customers to visit the bank exclusively only for emergency in the present condition of the raging coronavirus pandemic and the associated prevention activities. Further, the working hours of the bank were also cut down from 10.00 AM to 2.00 PM as per the circular sent by the State-level Banks Council.
In this scenario, in order to facilitate the beneficiaries to receive the Direct Relief Funds offered by the Central Government, the banks have been insisted by the central government to resume normal operations.
There won’t be any banking transactions today on the banks (Wednesday, 1st April).
The banks will resume normal operations from tomorrow (Thursday, 2nd April) and function until 4.00 PM.’
