Oil Corporations have announced that they will contribute Rs. 1031 Crores to the PM-CARES Fund.
The Central Government has set up a new Fund – PM-CARES Fund in order for the various organisations and the citizens to contribute for the Coronavirus Affected/necessitated huge expenditures. The amounts collected in this Fund will be exclusively utilized for the Coronavirus Relief activities!
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had appealed to the people to contribute liberally for this. Acceding to this request, celebrities, organisations, and citizens have started contributing for the fund.
In this scenario, the oil corporations have announced that they are contributing Rs. 1031 Crores!
In this regard, the central Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has noted in his ‘tweet’ on his Twitter page:
‘I am delighted and greatly obliged with the Oil Corporations contributing Rs. 1031.29 Crores to the PM-CARES Fund.’
HOW MUCH?
ONGC (Oil and Natural Gas Corporation) has announced a contribution of Rs. 300 Crores. IOC (Indian Oil Corporation) contributes Rs. 225 Crores; Bharath Petroleum –Rs. 175 Crores, and Hindustan Petroleum – Rs. 120 Crores.
Petronet LNG has announced Rs. 100 Crores and GAIL (Gas Authority of India Limited) Rs. 50 Crores and Oil India, Rs, 38 Crores as a contribution to PM-CARES Fund!
