Traffic jam at Padi Junction, social distancing violated

It seems that the life has become normal once again in Chennai!!
There are many who do not bother about social distancing even at this time when the Corona virus infection has been spreading rapidly leading to many deaths.
It is well known that Indian PM and TN CM have been requesting the people to maintain social distancing to prevent spreading of Covid-19. The state of TN and Chennai city saw many violations on Wednesday as many people crowded. There were heavy traffic flow at the important roads and many vehicles piled up closely completely ignoring social distancing.
In Chennai, Padi is one important junction and normally many vehicles pass through this place. The flyover at this junction had many vehicles as hundreds of vehicles going towards Ambattur Industrial Estate were stranded at the roundabout for 2 hours.
The vehicle checks carried out by the police also resulted in traffic jam in the popular Poonamallee High Road. There were many vehicles on the Anna Salai too. People gathered in huge numbers at PDC shops in rural Tamil Nadu to get the token for Rs 1000 announced by the state government. This was done as a part of relief measure is known.
