It is mandatory as per central government orders that the students studying in +2 and wishing to pursue medical graduate courses such as MBBS or BDS need to write and pass the competitive entrance examination NEET (National Entrance-cum-Eligibility Test)
Earlier, it had been announced NEET for the current academic year is scheduled on 3rd May. However, with the imposition of lockdown throughout the country as a preventive measure against the raging coronavirus pandemic, NEET has been postponed.
It is expected that NEET may be conducted by the end of May. In this situation, recent information is gathered that the syllabus for NEET is being revised!
In this regard, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has made an announcement. As per this, NTA will not take any decision on the revision of the prescribed syllabus for NEET. Only, the Medical Council of India (MCI) is authorized to make a decision on this.
As such, NEET for the current academic year will be as per the existing syllabus only!
