Consumer Durable items can be bought online from 20th April!

Information is gathered from the Central Government Circles that consumer durable items such as TV, Fridge, etc., can be bought online from the hugely popular e-commerce agencies like Amazon and Flipkart.

The central government had announced the 2nd Phase of the lockdown condition until 3rd May as a preventive measure against the raging coronavirus pandemic.

Meanwhile, some extent of relaxations has been announced for the areas where the impact of the coronavirus infection is less. Permission has been given to undertake certain duties on a conditional basis.

In this scenario, the Central Government Circles shared:

“Electronics sector is also among the various sectors mentioned by the central government for relaxation. Accordingly, consumer-durable items such as mobile phones, TV, Fridge, Laptop, etc., can be bought from e-commerce organizations like Amazon and Flipkart from 20th April.

However, the selling organizations will have to get permission from the concerned authorities to operate their delivery vans!

Presently, only those vehicles deployed for carrying essential goods are permitted to ply on the roads.

In case of permission is given to operate delivery vehicles to the e-commerce organizations, the ordered items will reach the buyers’ houses without much delay.”
