Located in western part of Tamil Nadu, Dharmapuri is the first district that was created in TN after the independence. On 2nd October in the year 1965, Dharmapuri district came into existence after it got split from Salem district. Information is around 30 percent of the districts area is under forest cover and this district is one of the major producers of mango fruit. .
Few days back it was announced that those who come out of their houses in Chennai must wear face masks without fail.
Similarly, Dharmapuri district collector, Malarvizhi announced that people belonging to this district must wear face masks compulsorily while coming out of their houses. Those people who spit in the public places would have to pay a fine amount of Rs 500 in addition to being jailed.
She also ordered only one person must travel in the two wheelers like motorbikes etc and just two persons in the four wheelers like cars etc.
