In early trade today, the Sensex went up by 39 points. The index lost 160.13 points in the previous session. It recovered .50% (98.00 points) to reach 19673.64. The metal, IT and consumer durable stocks were the ones that gained the most.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) came up to 5971.05 which is about 0.46% (27.05 points). ‘Besides expectations of better earnings by some more companies, a firming trend in the Asian region following weekend gains on the US markets on strong jobs data, influenced the sentiments here’, say brokers.
