It must be noted that SRO or sub register office, one of leading revenue generating departments is not yet sanitized. The class C and D employees of the government offices are now in dilemma regarding their transport to their offices in TN. They mostly depend on the public transport is well known.
To clear the ambiguity over the relaxation of norms, the officials are waiting for the expert committee recommendations now. It was later mentioned by some officials that they received circulars to open the government offices in TN following SOP. Point is government hasn’t provided thermal scanners or sanitize the offices.
A sub-registrar working outside the Chennai city spoke about how circular was received to open SRO offices and how there was no clarity about the transportation of the employees. He then pointed out that in his office many come from places like Kancheepuram etc. He later explained about the lack of thermal scanners and about the absence of sanitisation in the offices.
It must be taken into note that in the districts like Karur and Dindigul the registrars have defied the GO and mentioned that they would not open the offices till 3rd May. The employees have cited Section 144 imposed by TN government and said that they would not g for the work in the period.
