Now, 15 workers belonging to Koyambedu wholesale market test Corona virus positive

At the Chennai Corporation run relief centers located in 4 places in the Chennai city, there are many workers belonging to the Koyambedu wholesale market.

It is now said that as many as 15 Koyambedu market workers tested positive for Corona virus on Friday. For further treatment, these workers have been shifted to the government hospital. It is well known that already there were many Corona virus positive cases that have been linked to the Koyambedu market in addition to these 15 workers.

As many as 250 Koyambedu market workers from other districts have been sent to many relief centers of the government after the market was shut down and many others escaped to other districts. It was brought out that 108 workers were shifted to community center at Tirumangalam in Chennai.

The official spoke about how the samples were taken for testing from these workers and how many tested negative and sent to their homes. Five workers belonging to T. Nagar based relief center tested positive for Corona virus infection. A market supervisor attached to CMDA also tested positive on Thursday and he was sent to a hospital is known.

Important point is 2 assistant revenue officers have tested Corona virus positive and they were admitted to a government hospital for treatment. They have been attached to Royapuram zone that was one of the most affected zones in Chennai. These 2 assistant revenue officers did not show any Covid-19 symptoms but they underwent testing as they worked in the vulnerable areas.
