The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that hot fiery winds will blow across Tamil Nadu in the next 3 days.

The recently formed low-pressure zone over the South Bay of Bengal intensified and transformed into a cyclone. The cyclone was named Amphan. This cyclone intensified to transform into a ‘super cyclone’! This drifted towards the north towards West Bengal. Due to this, the coastal ocean area adjacent to the states of Odisha and West Bengal became turbulent and stormy. This cyclone crossed the coast in West Bengal.

The cyclone Amphan absorbed all the humidity/moisture content in the air leading to a fiery hotter condition in Tamil Nadu, especially the northern Tamil Nadu with oppressive heat.

In the above situation, the Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that fiery hot winds will keep blowing across the state of Tamil Nadu for the next 3 days.

As strong winds are likely to blow, it is advised that the fishermen must not venture to go to sea for fishing in the next 2 days.
