The 4th Phase of the lockdown imposition has been announced throughout the country until 31st May as a preventive measure against the spreading of the raging coronavirus pandemic.
Due to the continuous ongoing situation of the lockout conditions, certain places where the public gathering is large, such as religious praying centers, theatres, beaches, parks, and commercial complexes have all been kept closed.
During the current 4th Phase lockdown, relaxations are being announced restoring the normalcy gradually.
Based on this, information has been doing the rounds over the last 2 days in the social network media WhatsApp that the devotees may be permitted to visit the over 40000 temples under the domain of the Hindu Religious Endowment.
Further, information was doing the rounds that following restrictions/guidelines would be imposed on reopening of temples:
All the devotees MUST WEAR FACE MASKS.
The devotees will be allowed inside the temple premises only after a thorough body thermal scan tests.
Social distancing must be adhered to once inside the temple!
The temple premises must be cleansed with disinfectants both morning and evenings.
However, the officials explained that there has been no official response from the Hindu Religious Endowment authorities so far on this! The State Government of Tamil Nadu is still reviewing the situation in this regard. So, the officials informed that all the above information is baseless!
