Until now a special officer with Greater Chennai Corporation for control of the spread of the raging coronavirus pandemic, J Radhakrishnan was appointed today (Friday, 12th June) as the Tamil Nadu Health Secretary. He has replaced Beela Rajesh.
Radhakrishnan measures are being intensified to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the State.
He told the media, “We are intensifying our efforts. At the same time, the cooperation of people is very important to achieve the mission”.
He said if people test negative for COVID-19 but still, show symptoms of the pandemic, they would be quarantined for 14 days.
There has been a disturbingly increasing impact/intensity of the spread of the raging coronavirus pandemic in the state of Tamil Nadu over the last few weeks and still continue rising every passing day, especially in the State capital of Chennai!
Radhakrishnan was today transferred and posted back as the Health and Family Welfare Department Secretary.
Dr Radhakrishnan, who was hitherto Secretary/Commissioner of Revenue Administration, was transferred and posted as the health secretary in place of Dr. Beela Rajesh, who was posted as Commercial Taxes and Registration Department secretary.
An order issued by State Chief Secretary K Shanmugam said that Dr. Radhakrishan would also continue to hold the post of Secretary, Commissioner of Revenue Administration in full additional charge until further orders.
