Information is gathered from the central government circles that a decision is likely to be taken shortly regarding the cancellation of CBSE 12th Standard Public Examination.
It had been announced earlier that the CBSE Public Examinations for the subjects left-out were to be conducted from 1st July. However, the petition filed against this plan came up for enquiry in the Supreme Court and the Supreme Court raised the question of whether it is necessary/advisable to conduct the examination in the current times of the raging coronavirus pandemic spread!
The Supreme Court ordered that the central government must make a decision whether to conduct these Public Examinations within a period of 1 week. Thus, the central government is all set to submit its reply in this regard to the supreme Court.
The Central Minister for Human Welfare Development Rames Pokhriwal had a review/consultation meeting with the officials of the Department of Education.
It is expected that the central government may decide to cancel the planned CBSE Public Examination for the left-out subjects with the guideline that the marks for these left-out subjects can be assessed on the basis of the marks obtained by the students in the previous examinations on the subject.
