With the long-time trend of the increasing intensity/impact of the raging coronavirus pandemic in Tamil Nadu, especially the Chennai Metro City in the past few weeks, the number of persons confirmed with COVID-19 has also been increasing rapidly and steadily. At the same time, the number of patients recovering has also been increasing substantially.
Within the State of Tamil Nadu, Chennai District (unfortunately) leads in the number of Corona rage affected as compared to the other districts. Here again, on the positive side, the number of persons recovering has also been increasing.
However, the alarming news is that the number of persons affected has gone on increasing as compared to other districts!
49,690 persons have been affected with coronavirus in the Chennai Metro City. Out of this, over 28,000 persons have recovered. Over 20,000 patients are under treatment.
So far, 730 persons have lost their lives due to coronavirus in the Chennai Metro City. In this scenario, 22 persons have lost their lives on a single day without responding to the treatment!
Among the patients treated for the coronavirus, 7 persons from Rajiv Gandhi Government general hospital, 6 persons from Stanley Government Hospital, 3 persons from the Kilpauk Government Hospital, and 6 persons from the Omandurar Government Hospital have lost their lives.
As per the current status, though the number of people recovering is a positive factor, the daily increase in loss of lives at the same time has led to panic among the pubic!
