MCA course cut down from 3 years to 2 years, AICTE declare

The All India Institute of Technology has announced the reduction of the MCA course from 3 years to 2 years. Employment for MCA-educated people across the country is steadily declining. Similarly, after completing the undergraduate degree and studying for three more years, the interest in enrolling in MCA courses in Masters in Engineering Colleges is declining among students. To avoid this and to increase the interest in MCA courses, the All India Technical Education Council (AICTE) has released new guidelines.

As per the current procedure, BCA educators are only required to study MCA for 2 years in accordance with the Guidelines for the MCA course combined with the guidelines for engineering student admission. At the same time, other undergraduates are required to study MCA for 3 years and the AICTE has stated in their guidelines that the College of Engineering professors.

In this situation, AICTE has announced that it has cut the MCA course from two years to 2 years following the conclusion of the UGC 545 meeting. Candidates can directly enroll in courses including B.Sc., BCA, B.Com. There will be no change for those who enrolled in the MCA course last year. The new syllabus will be effective from the current academic year 2020-21 with the approval of the University Admissions Committee.
